You are free. Sin no longer has a hold on us; freedom has come in the form of Christ Jesus.

Isaiah 9:6-7 For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government shall be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (:7) Of the increase of His government and peace THERE WILL BE NO END, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

The reign of Jesus Christ and His complete liberation of our sins has no end. Our God is the same God- yesterday, today and forever. He is perpetually at the throne of God as our petition for sin (our sin offering) our Advocate, High Priest and Holy Offering unto God.

In Apostle John’s writing (19:30), Jesus cries out, “It is finished.” He then gave up the ghost. Once and for all the sin penalty of spiritual death was met by this one Man, Christ Jesus.

Romans 5:8-9 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (:9) Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

Jesus put to rest the law of sin and death. The Word cries out, “Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and you will be saved.” By doing this in faith, Jesus becomes your sacrificial Lamb for all of your sins- past, present and future. You don’t have to live a life of condemnation and guilt filled with fear and uncertainty of your future and destiny.

By Jesus, all who believe are justified from all things which could not be justified by the law of Moses. This is the Gospel. Christ brings complete justification for you. Two powerful words must be applied to your soul- ONLY BELIEVE. Allow Jesus to take your place as a sin offering once and for all and Be Free. Release the old religious thoughts of trying to approve yourself before God to earn His love and favor. We are not justified by our good works! Let go & let God. He has already paid the price for you to be free by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross.

Some might wonder why I am talking about this when pretty much everyone knows that Jesus died on the cross, rose again and will one day come back. Nothing I am saying is new but I want it to be seen differently. We need to rethink about how God thinks about us. Most of us are taught through well-meaning teachers the mentality of ‘Do good, get good- Do bad, get bad.’ If you keep the Ten Commandments you will be blessed and if you don’t, you will be cursed. Though this sounds good and Godly, Jesus came to free us from the law of sin and death. Am I saying we should live a life of sin? God forbid! I’m saying just the opposite. But it can’t be done by our own works or abilities. A man can stay faithful to his wife in his actions, but have countless affairs in his heart. Is he really obeying the Word of God? A woman can love her friend but think many bad thoughts about her, and not have that friend’s best interests at heart. Is she really living out the kingdom? NO…. In our own strength we fail daily, but through the grace of God and the completed work of Jesus Christ on the cross, we begin to be changed into His glorious image.

There must become a knowing of who we really are in Christ Jesus- sons and daughters of the Most-High God. We are the redeemed of the Lord. Say with me, “All of my sins are forgiven, not just the sins I committed before I got saved, but ALL OF MY SINS. All of my past, present and future sins were taken care of by my Lord, Jesus.” It is so important that you see yourself sinless, clean forever. No, I’m not speaking blasphemy when I say that I’m righteous or that God won’t judge my sins that I have ever committed or ever will commit. The truth is He has already passed judgment on our sins, our lawlessness and on our downfalls. He judged them on the back of Jesus Christ- once and for all. Do not discount the measure of God’s sacrifice of love that He has bestowed upon us through this Holy Offering, Christ Jesus.

Jesus took your place on the cross of death, so that you could live forever and never know spiritual death. Jesus was forsaken on the cross so that God could tell you that He would never leave you or forsake you. Jesus bore your sorrows so that you may bare His joy. Jesus wore your stripes of sickness, so you could receive His healing. Jesus took on your sins before the Father, so you would be sinless before God. Jesus took on your bondage, so you could be free. IT IS FINISHED!!

How can this revelation help you reach your destiny and receive the promises of God? The more you see yourself in a holy state of being, righteous and acceptable before God, the more your soul, flesh and spirit will begin to line up with the Word of God. Supernatural faith and strength will begin to breed in you as you partake of the unmerited favor and grace of God.

Romans 8:1 declares: “There is therefore no condemnation to those who are in Christ.” (None, Never, Nope, Not Once.) Jesus has made you free and has given you righteousness and an emancipated heart unto God. The more you know how free you are, the more the Spirit of God will be able to move on your behalf. Some might ask, “Well, Pastor Wells, what if I sin?” The question should be, “What happens when I sin?” Thank God for Jesus.

Romans 8:2-4 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. (:3) For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: (:4) That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Jesus fulfilled the sin law. You are forgiven and established in righteousness, right standing with God. Now when you come to God liberated from the consciousness of sin and separation, you walk with might and confidence as a son/daughter who believes in the completed work of Jesus Christ. Your very soul begins to take on His image. You won’t come to God in unworthiness or uncertainty. You’ll begin to realize that He already knew you were unworthy, so He took on your unworthiness and made you ‘worthy’. His righteousness became your righteousness and you now walk as a powerful son/daughter, highly favored and extremely loved by God. He is longing to fulfill in you His greatest joys and delights. He wants to give you the desires of your heart. You are truly free in Christ Jesus.
